The lilies of IN THE THREE LILIES, with the year indication AO (=Anno) 1779, are stylised like THOSE on the coat of arms of the French kings, the so called fleurs de lis.
The heraldic effect is reinforced by the typical placement: two - one. Should there have been a targeted French clearance rage during the French Revolution in the early 1800s, the question remains why these lilies of Rechtstraat 98 have escaped removal.
